I get a simple haircut at Borics for $13.99 plus tax and tip. You don't need an appointment and I think you have them in the US?

I pay $20. However, if 30 minutes is all it takes, I call that a "pretend" haircut. I know some stylists pride themselves on 'a haircut every 20 minutes" but that is really ridiculous!

My DDs pay over $100 per visit. It use to bother me they paid that much but they say MOM it's only a $100. Reminds me when I use to tell my grandmother GRAN, It's only $10! LOL.

My haircut is $35 (about every 5-6 weeks) and I have it straightened and cut for $65 about every 3 months. Same person has cut my hair for the last 35+ years. I've tried the cheap "chain salons" a couple of times and will not do it gain.

I'm letting mine grow this year...getting a haircut is a little nerve wrecking for me. I don't like people around and in my "head space".

But my last cut earlier this year was $8.00 at a walk-in unisex establishment.

Look around a bit more...maybe!

I've gone to the same hairdresser for 20 years. She is wonderful. When I first started going to her, it was $15, then it has gradually jumped to $35. She has never given me a bad cut, knows my hair and I just turn her loose. Around here, $50 is the going rate so I feel I'm getting a good deal. It's worth it to me to know I can call her anytime and she can work me in. She is so good that several of my friends drive an hour to have her do their hair.

I went to one stylist for about 12 years. During that time her cuts went from $35 to $55.She is a super stylist. Color also went to $75. Love the color I now use - in box for $8. On top of that it was a 45 min drive. Then I became extremely ill and was unable to drive that far so changed to a stylist closer to home. She charges $26. She is just as good as former stylist. Love her cuts and she is fun to be around. Have moved 1,000 miles away and looking for new stylist. Desperate - have to have my hair cut every 4-6 weeks as I keep it short.

If you just want a haircut, go to Cost Cutters or similar. If you want a stylish cut, yeah, it costs $27-60 depending on where you live and the experience of the stylist. I much prefer going to a salon because I get a better cut, but since I'm on Social Security, I can't afford it without giving up others stuff.
