It looks fine. I'm not sure how large the pieces are but I don't think hand quilting needs to be as dense as the machine quilting. Or anyway it seems the machine quilting is done a lot more dense than the hand quilting. I don't do a lot of machine quilting but it seems the more dense machine quilting is done more for the art value rather than worry over bunching up. If the quilt isn't thrown in the dryer often I doubt it will matter.

I agree with the others that have said it is enough. I for one don't care for the dense quilting that is often done. This is typical of the closeness of the quilting our church ladies do on all the handquilted quilts they do for the auctions. Most batting is just fine if quilted no more than 6 inches apart.
