Never made a Jelly roll quilt, and have only just recently heard about them. Are there patterns available to make quilts? or do you ladies have wonderful ideas in your head. I can't make anything unless I have a pattern.

Jelly rolls are sets of 2 1/2" strips, usually color coordinated by the manufacturer. There are a ton of patterns out there using them. Do a Google search for 'Free Patterns using Jelly Rolls' or "Strip Piecing". Missouri Star videos on Youtube, Summer in the Park is gorgeous. Also check Bonnie Hunter's website. Also do a search for "Jelly Roll" on here.

Default Jelly Roll Braided Quilt

I forgot to take a pic of this quilt after I finished it...was in a hurry to get it in the mail for Christmas.
Here is a pic the family sent me of the woman receiving it.

Default tradewinds

I did this from a bali pop - it is the same 2 1/2 inch strips as a moda jelly roll. I had to add some background to it but it was easy to do. It was my first quilt.

Since I haven't even bought a jelly roll yet, I can't participate.
