I was just reading some of these to my husband...he wants me to list a couple of my machines...he said " There are bound to be a fool that would pay these prices." I better make sure to inventory my machines...good thing is that he doesn't know where the 221 is located, or that the cabinet that holds my embroidery machine actually has a machine in it.
Thanks Charlee...these gave me a very much needed laugh...ROFL...

Here's a model 15 "Red Eye" (Actually, they are open to offers, might need to try to rescue it and turn it into a hand crank. Any idea of what to offer? http://rochester.craigslist.org/atq/2732838452.html

And for $100 - take your pick a wooden ironing board (maybe I shouldn't have sold mine at my yard sale!) He has had this listed and relisted for more than one year!

or
or you could have a Davis treadle

or a New Home for $40

(who wouldn't rather have the old ironing board?)

I have the same machine, new one today. LOL Wouldn't sell mine for any price, but I sure wouldn't pay that for one!

I bought my DS's last fall for $5. Actually, it was a two for $10 deal, I kept the 128 and she got the 66 - in the same exact cabinet.

I just got a New Home, if I could hide the Davis for a bit, I'd be on it! Not sure were I'd put it, but I'm really loving the treadles and hand cranks. If some one wants it and is planning a trip to upstate NY, let me know! I'm on the look out for a really nice looking hand crank, if and one knows of one let me know. I've given up on eBay.

OMG - I have been laughing so hard I thought I would pee my pants!! It is amazing what people think these machines should go for. They are clueless - but entertaining! LOL

Well maybe the Chicago antique dealer was a bit pricey but I *heart* those #42 cabinets. I've only ever seen one for sale in my neck of the woods.
