I guess presentation is everything after all! Should be a lesson to all those CL people with no or blurry photos! Still, I think my gingerbread 15 that I got for $20 is much prettier.

Ya gotta admit, the write-up on the Singer 15-91 was amazing. Did someone really pay that? I keep imagining another scenario.

I keep imagining it in my house for the original $49.99 but clearly that didn't happen

Thank God the cast iron and solid metal parts aren't "warped". I hate when that happens.

The ad sounds like someone trying to sound like he knows what he's talking about ... he missed the mark.

You would think with a $2600 price point there would at least be a dark blurry picture of the machine folded down into the table. ..

Ok ... I admit to being somewhat of a neophyte to vintage machines, so when I saw this machine I thought "Ok .. what is a "blackside" Singer 15". All Singer 15's were black (to my knowledge). I searched ISMACS thinking perhaps Blackside was a factory. Nope.

Then I saw this ad by the same seller. And I laughed.

The black chrome is really pretty neat. I have a 'rare' Singer 201 black side. The chrome is black but when you take a picture is looks like chrome. I also have a Black side Singer 15 in terrible shape and it's chrome isn't near as neat. I had to laugh out loud at the second ebay ad, Sue.
