Thank you for a look at your other crafty side! Keep posting. I can't wait to see the finished work! I have a friend that grows her own gourds and designs all sorts of different things with them, but I haven't seen this. Will be sure to tell her about your great work!

You always do such lovey work! It will be fun to see the end result. My 7 grandkids come up each year and we paint and carve pumpkins. We have such a good time!! This year I wanted to grow my own pumpkins - had a great start then the deer showed up. They are all the pumpkins and all the vines. Good thing is I have very little to clean up. Next year the pumpkins will be fenced!!

I love them, I have an old gourd that was painted without being cut, it has a cute fat folk art pig on it. I love your gourd bowls with the bright yellow insides. Please post pictures when you are done. Love them so far!

Cute! Have you tried using the Glow in the Dark paint? I've seen pics of it and would be fun with Oct 31 coming up!We have used them as house warming gifts (make into a bird house and paint the house numbers over the hole) twist some wire onto the top of the gourd stem to attach to a tree. Have fun!!

I would to know more about your paints . I have saved some gourds for the same reasons....I kinda got side tracked with quilting so much the last 18 months and haven't painted since then............Thanks for the pictures and would love to know where to buy those seeds for those kind of gourds.........Darla

Those are going to be lovely, Rosy. I only have one this year as my DSIL dropped the other and it cracked too badly for repair. Maybe I'll post a pic if I ever get it finished. I have the base coat on and need to get myself moving. This one is to be a bird house. They are such fun. Have you seen some of the ones where they cut pieces like applique and build them up for three deminsional patterns? They are amazing
