    I really like the look of this block. To further disguise the error, you could quilt a triangle--with a point--into those purple pieces, or your facsimile. It would look like you planned it that way.

    Cut them smaller and all the same size so it appears that this is the pattern. Who knows you might have a winery!

    I did the same exact mistake on my first quilt & it has been sitting unsewn for about 6 years. As they say, we learn from our mistakes. Looking forward to hear what other quilters have done to make the quilt look like it was not a mistake.
