My mom is in a nursing home. She is 90, has dementia and she fidgets. I am a quilter and never thought of making something like this for her. Thanks for sharing. I plan to make her one this week.

I made one about 24x30 inches for my brother. I used some cording to "leash" a little stuffed pug (dog) to it. Bro had a real pug who was always with him until he went into full time hospice. He loved the little pug on his lap quilt. Every time someone visited him he made them feel how soft his pug was. That blanket and his soft little pug were with him when he passed, even though I wasn't able to be.

What a wonderful idea, I'm sure the patients will love them.

Such a good idea. Our guild made fidgit aprons for Alzheimer's patients at the hospital, to kind of calm them as they waited for tests.
