I agree with tinliz. I would make two borders. The first with the pink border 1" finished and add a second border with the background fabric about 3" (how big is the whole quilt finished????) and bind in the pink. Lovely quilts.

I agree with narrow width of bright with larger outer border of other fabrics. However, this is YOUR quilt and you should finish it to what makes you happy. Beautiful quilt any way you finish it !!!
