You're welcome! It's really worked out great for me, and everyone buys that Parmesan stuff, right?!?!? Now if I could just find a reason to repurpose those dang creamer bottles....

Can used blades be recycled? I don't mean re-sharpened and reused, but actually go into the recycling?

YES......there is a company that takes your old blades and sends you back sharp ones, I forgot the name, through the mail, I never used it tho.

A company that takes old blades and sends you back sharp blades is L. P. Sharp. Looks like there's kind of a steep charge, though. I never have used them.

I use an old tall plastic Pringles container. With the label off it is plain white. I have it marked "blades." When I first saw the idea used, they were covering them in fabric!

I just emptied a coffee creamer jar yesterday and now I have the perfect place to use it. Thanks for the idea.

I have used yogurt, cottage cheese, or sour cream containers, I label them and then tape them up when I throw them out. I put old blades, needles, razor blades, etc., in them.

I wrap the rotary cutter blade in a piece of duck tape. There is no possibilty of them escaping that duck tape. I like the pill bottle idea. I have the "easy off" (instead of the 'never, ever going to come off while I am alive') lids on mine, so would probably put duck tape over the top of that, just in case.
