I like the first one with the lighter strip. The orange seems to fight with the pink strip beside it. Hope this helps you out on your decision.

This is my choice, too, and for these reasons. The lighter fabric shows the continuation of the fabric as it changes direction.

Just because I think a little differently, I'm wondering how it would look if you rotated the rails so the blue-green zig zags down the quilt instead of the pale dots or orangish in A and B.

I vote for the first one. That white with the dots helps give more "light" to the pattern.

I had the rails set that way before I started sewing it together and as it grew the light strip looked like dashes and disrupted the flow across the pattern, good suggestion though.

I like #1 colors are great. # 2 with the orangeish colors, to me don't seem to fit in. I do like all the colors in #1. have fun
