    Default Purple scrappy stars

I have been commissioned to make a wedding quilt for a purple loving couple. I made scrappy centered stars and they went together quickly with the blocks measuring 22". I added sashing in the same gray neutral to give the stars some room. I had a lot of fun going to a quilt shop with the person commissioning the quilt. She was so excited and loved the feel and colors of the fabrics she selected. Her enthusiasm just tickled me. The quilt top is ready to go to a LQS to be quilted with dark purple thread. The back is a neutral grunge fabric that suit this quilt. I plan to use gray binding and make a label for the happy couple.

I think you've brought a simple pattern to a new level with the scrappy centers! What a great idea - do post again when it's quilted.
