Not quite the same BUT--- I have an almost 2 year old cat that likes to chew on wood. I tell her she is not a woodchuck. That doesn't stop her.

We have a beautiful Border Collie. She's just over one year old. Since our DD gave her to us as a gift at 2 months old, she has loved to chew on anything plastic. She has chewed up so many plastic flower pots, bucket lids, plastic flower border material, and even lines under my DH's big dual wheel pickup truck. It's currently not running because of this.
Our DSIL fixed the truck once and I found the tape and strap that he used to tie the lines up out in the yard. Mercy! And that's her name, Mercy. I am amazed that she isn't sick, but she's the sweetest most lovable thing. Can't imagine our place without her.
However, I think the golf balls are the top! Goodness, poor dog.

I can just picture those gross golf balls going boing,boing! Boing boing Off the surgery table and onto the floor! Poor pup. But how funny.

The Siberian Husky/Shiba Inu mix I recently put down ate large socks when she was stressed. As she was a high strung dog, that was often. She survived them all, but there were a few times when it was close. My surviving dog, a little Border Collie/Lab, wouldn't dream of touching anything that isn't hers. I've had a cat who carried pins around, but I hope she never swallowed any. She loved shiny things.

My sister had a cat who would "plant" herself over a pin cushion and methodically remove all the pins and spit them out. She lived to a ripe old age.

DD's bulldog ate her pincushion. Bulldog also carefully removed the pins first. Her Pomeranian ate a bottle of Adderall (a stimulant used to treat ADHD) Poor little dog did laps around the dining room for 36 hours.

A friend's husky-shepherd mix ate a door that he was on the wrong side of.

Poor dog, A friend of ours had a wired haired Jack Russell, this little girl ate small to medium sized stones all the time. Vet. did not know what to tell them. The dog would go to the fence line and pass them. But it was weird you could pet the dog and the stones would rattle. Removing the stones were not a option, they used them in their landscape. So they gave the dog away and she can back home 3 times. Now they make sure to rub the little dogs belly each day, so the stones will pass, vet says this is all they can do. Dog seems to be happy, plays and runs all the time.

My beautiful pit bull mix, Frida, was out in the yard having a BM when I noticed some red material coming out of her nether regions. She had eaten one of the blocks off the design wall. I showed her the distressed block and did the shame sign. To date 5 years later, she looks at the design wall, looks at me and averts her eyes in front of the wall.

Oh, my word!! Poor baby!! Glad he was cured.... I like to watch the vet shows on TV. Never is boring....I love all of God's 4 legged creatures...
