I was given an old Singer looking sewing machine years ago, but I cannot find any information on it. It sure looks like an old Singer machine.

Does anyone have information on this machine.

if it's got the Macy's name on it, it was sold through Macy's Dept store. It might look like a Singer, but it's not. Macy contracted with what ever company gave them the best deal to make the machines. I know early on, Singer prided itself in never selling machines they made under any name but their own.

I'm guessing that it probably is similar to the one posted at Older Sewing Machine--Help which would explain why it looks like an old Singer machine. It is what is considered a 15-clone machine. They were made in Japan after the 2nd World War. There are many in this thread Will the Real 15 clone please stand up There are some in there that I would consider class15 machines, rather than actual clones. There is also this thread that talks about clones - Can you please explain "Clones?" They were modeled after the 15-90 Singer machines. Interestingly enough, the clones seem to thread differently than the Singer machines. Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.
