Thank you, I am kind of proud of it since It was my first try. I am working on a nine patch in browns aquas and pinks for my neice right now. The seams aren't matching up like I would like them too, and it is driving me crazy. But my mother in law assured me that after it is quilted that the seams will not be that obvious and that since it is for a tween that she will probably like it better if it isn't all "perfect". I hope she is right. =)

I find that pressing can make or hinder the process. I press the seams in one row to the one side and in the next row, I press them to the opposite side. That way, the seams "nest" when you put the rows together and with a little pinning you can adjust (fudge) the pieces a bit.
BTW: Nice job on your first!

Wisconsin, huh. I lived in Janesville for 2 years, but got tired of the terribly cold and dreary winters so went back to Arizona. Now I live in Utah and am back to the cold and dreary winters. At any rate, glad to have been adopted. :-D
I have a project in mind, but don't exactly know how to get it started and have it turn out right. I will see if I can scan the drawing I made as a pdf and send it to you. It is adapted from a design by Karen Burns. She did it all by using 1/2 square triangles and I thought I'd like to try it using strips cut at 45 degree angles and then using the triangles at the top and bottom only. I hope you can help me.
