Love, love, love this quilt. I’m a fan of KD too but hadn’t seen this pattern. I normally put the leftovers on the back of the quilt but adding the checkerboard to the front was perfect!

Beautiful quilt. The border is an excellent touch. Love it!

Beautiful quilt! Love the checkerboard! I'm stealing that idea!

Love the way that you used up all of your fat quarters. I am often disappointed with quilting because too often quilt pattern designers call for so much more fabric than is necessary so all you end up with is more scrap to get rid of.

This is really neat! You did a great job. Luckily, Kim's fabrics are timeless. That was a smart use of the extra fabric you had already cut. What size was the finished quilt, ekuw?

The quilt without the checkerboard border was 65 x 65. Another bonus of adding the top/bottom border was is made it a rectangle vs a square (which I prefer). I the borders added about 8 inches so that would make it 65 x 73. Normally I try to use the extra fabric on the back, but in this case I had enough backing fabric that I didn't need too.
