Thanks for the heads up on this one! I’m going to give it a try, I think.

So long as there’s still stash to be used, I’m in! 😆

I decided not to cut my borders like she did on the length of fabric. I am using up fabrics and don’t have over 2 yrds, plus in the end, you have more scraps left.

I'm still chugging away on the new year's mystery. While I often like the end result of these mysteries, I often dislike the sewing methods so I've found I'm happy waiting until the reveal and then deciding if I want to do it or not. I simple can't stand covered corners method of block construction and too may of the "cut pieces ahead of time" end up being covered corners.

Whew! 208 four patches only 2 1/2” …what was I thinking! This will be a one and done for sure, this is way too much sewing for a comfort quilt only 58” x 82” approx. and the actual mystery sew day hasn’t even happened yet 🤪. Oh well, I recounted while I was pressing yesterday and I need to make 4 more today, then have a break from it until Sunday.

I didn't do this one -- I saw the sizes of the pieces and said a firm "nope". I'll enjoy seeing what everyone comes up with.

@Macybaby I usually don't cut ahead for the same reasons you note. But I will follow the directions as they are published - it just takes me longer as I'm cutting as I do.
