Good morning.

SBG, you are welcome for the gallery. Michelle-quilts, your four new blocks are terrific. Rainy days are perfect for marathon sewing. I’m hoping our rain brought the fires to an end but I haven’t seen an update yet. Had a tough day yesterday with pain but today is pt and they’ll work out some of it.

Have a good day everyone.

Thank you Michelle for the lovely Mardi Gras block, love the fabrics you chose to go into the block!

Terri, glad your trip home was uneventful and that the weather cooperated with your drive. We will leave in about 3 weeks to head back to Wisconsin, I'm already dreading the drive back.

Thank you Michelle for my 2 lovely blocks. Can’t wait to see them made into a quilt.

Hubby did a lot of online research and found out the day there were less big rigs on the roads is Sunday. But more cars are on the road. So we tried leaving on a Sunday and it seemed to work for us through Texas and Oklahoma. I think 35 N through Iowa was under construction for dang near half the state. At one point I was weaving through all the lane changes smack in the middle of two semi’s. Not my favorite part of the drive but I did it. Glad it’s over. We still have patches of snow in the shady area but that’s it.

Cheesehead glad you will be soaking in another 3 weeks of sunshine

Today is unpacking, vacuuming and dusting. Incredible difference dust wise in the house since they paved the township road on the side of our house. Hope none of you live on or near gravel roads, that dust flies everywhere.

Probably won’t unpack the sewing machine today. I don’t move that fast these days

Have a great day.

Packages are already coming in. Another one hit my doorstep today! Can’t wait to open the packages up when they come so I can see your beautiful work on person. I’m so lucky to be the host!

Had a hard PT this morning after a bad night’s sleep. Came home feeling better but then I took a much needed nap and life looks so much better than it did at 4am. lol.

DH and I are looking at the YMCA tonight to see if we want to join. I think it would be good for both of us. My concern is that it’s hugely crowded every time I go past it so finding the right time to go will be key.

Enjoy your evenings!

Janice, hopefully the pain and swelling go down sooner than the average six week period!

I got some blocks made up today, two for Terriamn and one for Lstew. I am really enjoying the Disappearing blocks, lol! These are all Disappearing Pinwheels this time.
The blocks are beautiful. Thank you for my block, it is perfect.

GramE you go girl! You are in charge of your remote.❤️❤️❤️😵‍💫

Our friends had us for a goodbye dinner last night. I wasn’t feeling any to good before we left buy the time we were hope it sounded like I was talking with a close pin on my nose. Took allergy medicine and feeling better today but continuing with the allergy meds so no repeat performance

We have everything ready to go and will leave by 5 tomorrow morning. Looks like we will have lots of company. With all the storms in the Midwest many friends we talked to decided to wait a day and head out tomorrow. We don’t have reservations on the drive home so we can drive till we are to tired to continue, which will be much earlier for me then hubby.

This is baby Mya in an outfit that her Mom wore when a newborn

Terriamn...for your second block I tried to pull out the background and the pinkish flowers in that little swatch you sent. I hope you agree with my choices..

I think I just have 2 blocks left.
Beautiful blocks.

Good chilly morning from WNC. It’s 34 degrees and I think the new growth on our plants is safe. I hope this is the last low 30s until autumn. We pulled in a small potted rose bush with two tiny flower buds just to be cautious. How I look forward to them opening! For me, a rose isn’t a rose if it doesn’t have a beautiful scent.

Worked on the packages last night. All looks really good. I love your creativity, color and fabric choices and the accuracy of your blocks. You still have about 3 weeks to finish and get them to me.

I bring geraniums back and forth to Texas and they are happily planted in a container where they can soak up the Minnesota sun inside for another month or so before they can be happily placed in their pot for the summer. Fun having the bright red blossoms perk up the room.

Today if we don’t go car shopping my plans are to unpack the sewing machine and put away my projects I brought back from Texas. Won’t have time to sandwich the 2 tops till we get home from Alaska but would like to finish the top for Mia.

Only in the 40’s here but the sun is shining and a cardinal stopped by to check me out. A beautiful majestic male.

Janice hope it’s a less painful knee day today.

Going to go over to the gallery and be inspired

Good Sunny Day from AZ! Weather has turned to warm here and I am finishing up the window and screens. I love having the windows open and fresh air through the house.
Went to Trader Joes and picked up a Hyacinth and my room smells delightful.
Found another set of blocks from prior COVID so putting it all together and hopefully tomorrow will get it bound. Whew - sure feels good to get things completed!
Have a great evening

Spent the day working on a l-o-n-g term scrap project and finished the quilting on a 2.5" birthday squares quilt top . I went grocery shopping this afternoon in the snow! Yes, in deed it was snowing and still is. It is supposed to rain/snow all night but be 45 degrees tomorrow. Weekend looks to be back to normal, mid-50's.

Guess, I did not report on my retreat. I accomplish all of my projects except one UFO from 2020. That one came home in exactly the same condition it was in when I left. I just could not face it. The directions require concentration that I just was not up to giving. So I pieced the top for the museum fabric quilt. No I need to find some coordinating fabric for a wide border and the back to make it more larger and more usable. I made serious progress on my pink and turquoise blocks that are from scraps and pink 2.5" blocks. Only about 70 more to go! Tee-Hee-Hee. Lastly I made 30 of my L-O-N-G term scraps blocks.

Other folks finished Bonnie Hunter quilts old and new, exchange block quilts while others just made progress on large intricate beautiful quilts. The group was small, only 21 but the conversations and silliness was just as good as always. Take away for me: take at least one project that I can finish. It feels better to finish something.

Looking forward to finishing two quilts this weekend. They just need bindings. I shall see what time allows.

Glad our travelers and home, the sun warm and the mail arriving. I saw the news story about the USPS truck that lost part of its load in Durham, NC. Made my heart beat fast. Hope none of our packages were on that truck.
