Good news about Ernie. Yeah! it is hard to see our four-footed family members suffer. If daily treatment will do the trick, then good for Ernie.

TG, what is your OLLI class about? I guess I don't understand the term "head teams". I like OLLI classes and catch some on AARP. The ones that my university presents are just too pricey, $40 per person for a 60 minute lecture on an interesting topic is not where I want to spend my $$$. I take advantage of many AARP presentations from across the country. They are all free even for non-AARP members.

Janice good news on your PT working so well for you and that Ernie can continue treatment with his eye meds. You and hubby must be so relieved.

WMUTEACH- oops should head trauma!!
OLLI is for seniors who want to continue to learn. We have a great program here with five ‘semester’s’ of six weeks. There are over 100 classes offered. Runs me $160 for the year and I take numerous classes from Restaurant reviews to history to literature, crafts, hiking, games, technology etc. Today’s class is part of three weeks into PTSD and Trauma. The volunteer who is teaching has but in years of therapy to young very troubled adults. There were a number of therap, doctors etc in class do conversation was great .
I have checked out other OLlI programs around the country but nothing compares.

Oh Janice, I am glad you are beginning to feel like there is an end to the process of getting a new knee. It’s like turning a corner and being able to see the beginning of the end of the process. I hope each day you feel a little bit ‘more better’. I got my remote reprogrammed yesterday and my pain level this morning is down to something I can manage, even though they don’t know what is causing my ankles to swell up, I’d prefer the less pain version while they figure it out. Hope your weather is walkable today. We are definitely going to take our first walk since my surgery. It’s just been too wet, too windy, and too brrr cold! I haven’t told the dog yet but she will be very excited.

The Virtual Quilting Weekend here on the QB was good motivation to keep pushing forward today.

Maybe more assembly after the family festivities tomorrow.
Beautiful Quilt, Stunning. Is that PP?

Stunning Quilt of Clifford, your neighbor will love it.

Macybaby, Clifford is fabulous! What a grand top. She’ll love it for years.

Pt was rough today but I’m showing some improvement. Yay for that.

Had a late evening or early morning visitor who did a job on the pool cover. It’s a total loss. Looks like our visitor got out with its life I’m glad to say. Check out those bear prints!
WOW, that is scary. Bears are not who I would want to run into.

I’m getting there. I’m mostly happy with what I’ve done but in some I would maybe not pick the same block if I got a do over. This is one of the hardest things to do, well for me anyway, is sewing for others. Choices are hard for me on my own sewing, so adding the tension of selecting a block for others gives me pause for thought.

I moved my presser foot to the opposite side of my body as I’m sitting down. Trying to train myself to not let my foot rest on the pedal, which I do constantly. But I think it might have worked after two days. This evening I caught myself only a couple of times when my foot took off sewing on its own. 😬

SewBizGirl, maybe going to church on Easter is the price they have to pay to get dinner? I do hope they heard a good message! We had not quite double, but we are a small country church and the visitors were mostly extended family of regulars. We average about 40-50 on a Sunday.
Stunning block for SBG, Beautiful.

Sorry, I have been MIA. I got a kidney infection and then had a reaction to the meds the DR put me on. Been a rough couple of days. Missed Easter dinner, so I am making Sunday dinner this weekend. I am headed back to work today. I would love a couple of more days to rest but I am out of PTO days.

Good morning. GramE, On bad days it seems there is no end to PT but on the good days, I see improvement. I didn’t have a knee replacement, just arthroscopic surgery to clip the bad spots on my meniscus. I cannot imagine the pain with a replacement if this hurt as badly as it did in the beginning. No thank you. I’m just intolerant of much pain. My mother walked around with a broken arm for days with virtually no pain. Me, I get a paper cut and I’m ready to take to bed. Ok, ok, an exaggeration but not much of one.

Happily, no more bear sightings, but I’m listening to the birds signing in the light rain we’re having. One bird, an Eastern Towhee, made the most perfect nest in a shrub over the course of several days but now she’s disappeared. Had hoped we’d have babies right outside our window. Time will tell.

Time to do some dusting that’s been neglected for weeks. Hope you all are looking forward to a pleasant weekend.

Lstew sorry about your kidney infection. Have only had one once and it wasn’t a fun time. Hope you can get the rest you need after work.

Janice I am not big on pain anymore either. Think it just accumulates and our bodies get pooped out and just won’t tolerate any more without acting out. Like you I can’t imagine the pain after a body replacement. Hard enough dealing with the pain in my lower back on a daily basis and now you add that paper cut and umph my world falls apart. Feel bad for hubby on those days.

GramE glad they adjusted your device so the pain is something you can handle. It must be incredible to feel so much better on a daily basis.

I have been put out with my DD’s lately on their lack of effort in keeping touch with me. I think that I shocked them by speaking out but have stuck to my guns on they are my feelings and I am there mother and worth 5 minutes of their time every few days. Maybe it will help and maybe it won’t buy I feel better saying it.

Janice, so happy things are working out for you. I had both knees replaced in 23 and yes, it was painful. However, now that it's behind me I'm so glad I did it. No more pain. I had bad knees for a long time (both) and I didn't want to do injections, etc. But I'm sure glad it's over. I chose a physician I used to work with so that made things nicer. I also hate pain!! PT was brutal but necessary.
LStew- ouch! Hope you're on the mend.
Sewbiz- belated birthday greetings to you!
