I am addicted to patterns. I don't even want to know how many I have saved on my computer and printed and put in bindersl I have a terrible time trying to make up my mind on what to do next because I have so many I want to do. And don't even get me started on Pinterest. I can go down that rabbit hole for hours.

I given myself the old heartfelt try, to make a blouse or a t-shirt type shirt. I'm a weird shape and I can get the front and back to fit just right, including making a collar or else making neck facing, doing the buttons and buttonholes great and easily. But I can not and I repeat, can not make the sleeves that will fit me and are comfortable. I refuse to wear cap sleeves or batwings - I have my own flesh batwings, thank you very much! I have huge upper arms, and basically no chest, and - well I decided today after trying numerous tries once again this morning. to figure it out, I have finally decided, that I can make beautiful quilts, but shirt sewing is not for me and I gladly admit defeat by accepting it is not a skill I want to waste anymore time or money on.

I waste too much time staring at my finished tops. Rather than going on to the backing, batting, etc I stare at it trying to decide if it is perfect. Does a seam need adjusting? Was that border just a bit short? I keep running thing in my head, until I'm satisfied it looks OK. I just redid the top right corner of the baby quilt I'm working on, because I did not "like" the way it looked. Took out all the seams, and adjusted the border. Seemed to satisfy my whirling mind, so now I'm almost done with hand sewing the binding.
Not sure how to turn that off, because I know that most of my perceived imperfections look fine to 99% of anyone who is looking at it!
