I am in. Working on scrappy garlic knots. I woke with a headache and tried sewing. Had to rip out 4 seams on one block. Maybe a good nap will get me back on track. Need to do yard work today as I have guild meeting tomorrow.

Even though this is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada, I'm hoping to get quite a bit of time in my sewing room. We are by ourselves--the rest of the family had other commitments. That means a much simpler meal and more time for me!! I am working on small stuff for an upcoming craft sale. (why do small projects seem to take just as long as big ones?!?) And I need to get back to my longarm. I'm sure she feels like she's being neglected! I have a 60x80 charity top that needs to be prepped and backing to be found. I'm really hoping to get that done this afternoon and quilt it tomorrow. If that goes well, I have another about the same size to get quilted.

I'm in! Haven't participated in awhile but the crisp fall weather is putting me in the mood to do more sewing and quilting. I am putting the last few stitches in a small iron caddy for me to carry to small group and classes.
Also working on Tula Nova which I treated myself to in 2024 on my birthday. So far I've sewn 1 round lol. Will send pix over the weekend.

Finally, a weekend I'm available to participate in a VQW! Going to work on a Tim Holtz scrape petal quilt kit. I have the yellow one.

I had an unexpectedly busy morning to mid afternoon. Now it is time to think all things quilty.
Now free time tomorrow, Saturday. Busy with already planned events.

    My list...
    1. connect the blocks for my Birthday Swap Quilt. Pick backing and and a frame. All so scrappy so it shouldn't be difficult.
    2. Quilt a table runner that I found in a box of donated fabric.
    3. Sort the unused 2.5 squares into their color bins.

If I get that much done I would be pleased.

Must put the dates for November in my calendar now! This weekend sneaked up on me.

Just got back from our vacation in Hawai'i. It was nice visiting family and friends. Now that I'm back and relaxed, it's time to hit my sewing room.

Just a small list of things I woud like done before going back to work on Monday ...........
    1. finish binding my Easy Breezy quilt
    2. more slow stitching on my new EPP project ( started while on vacation, layover at LAX was 4 hours )
    3. start to put the Oopsie Daisie blocks together

We'll see how much I get done

I finished the hand stitching on my binding for a comfort quilt. The black fabric was purchased in 2011 when I made a nephew a quilt for their first son. It is an Alexander Henry fabric called Mice Do Mambo, and was perfect for them as they had a band in Berlin.
Now I am looking through my scraps to try to figure out a border fabric for my pumpkinpatchbc BOM…..hmm…not sure what I could do with these weird chunks 🙄. I finished the last block today, it is the elephant. And I added the tree blocks because I prefer a rectangle instead of square quilt…..will fill in all the corner blocks with the gold.
and then I hand quilted on my batik scrappy hearts quilt while my friend and I visited for almost 2 hours. I have 9 more blocks of the 25 to hand quilt…no rush….I am loving it, but have no bed for it 🤪

Not a very productive day in my sewing room. I did manage to start putting together more of my Oopsie Daisie blocks. I should be able to some slow stitching after dinner tonight.

I’m in. I plan to quilt 2 baby tops for my friend. In between I plan to finish binding 2-3 quilts. In between those projects I want to work on a mystery blocks/pieces I bought last year. I also want to work on the cotton cuts mystery M-50 #1. That should keep me entertained this weekend while hubby watches football.
