Y’all sleep tight! Somebody has to.
So sorry you are having issues sleeping. I hope they resolve soon. My husband has sleeping issues and we are sleep divorced. I have my own room. Now that I have a Puppy, she gets me up during the night to go out. So this arrangement works out really well for all our sleep.

Wow did I have a scare today, hubby was standing on a step ladder and his knee went out. He hollered oh no and I looked up to see him fall off the ladder. Landing on the ceramic tile floor, hitting his head and scraped up both elbows. He is stiff and sore but ok. What a scare.
Sorry to hear that hubby fell. Hope he doesn't feel bad when the shock of falling wears off.

I finished up some quilts for donation tomorrow.. lap size, mostly. I thought you might like to see them.
The last two pics are of small stroller or car seat quilts for babies.
These quilts are beautiful, and the recipients will be really lucky to get this quilty hug.

Sitting in a hotel room in Paducah and planning on going to bed early tonight. Our plan is to leave early tomorrow morning in an attempt to arrive home before the snow starts to fly. Terri, we will remain in Wisconsin until after Christmas and plan to be back in Alabama before New Years eve.

We enjoyed the beautiful colors of autumn on our trip through Tennessee and Kentucky.

Hope Ernie feels better soon, our beloved pets sure know how to make their Dad and Mom worry.

Cheese
Have a safe trip home and I pray you don't have any issues on the trip.

I’m pleased with block size so far! Looks like everyone is keeping their eyes on that 12-1/2 square. Great job, ladies!

Ernie seems back to himself tonight. His issues seem resolved. He’s sound asleep next to me.

Anyone have any interesting plans for the weekend? I’ll be piecing away!
I have a trip to the post office this morning to mail my blocks and then off to Michael's for some HTV. I am making cruise T-shirts for a Cruise vacation in January. Some members of the family have never been cruising before, so I am making goody bags with some essentials and T shirt for them for Christmas. Then it is back home for Laundry and quilting. I have 4 quilts I would like to get finished before Christmas. two are "Quilt as you go" and just need the sashing and border. One is ready for the quilting frame, and one is cut out and ready for piecing. Then I have a crocheted sweater and a Purse that needs to be finished. Both are halfway done and are needed after Christmas for Birthday Presents on the 12th and 16th of January for my sisters. I am ahead of schedule this year on my Christmas sewing so I am feeling good. I hope you all have a great Saturday.

Lstew, I’ll look for your blocks next week. Good for you being ahead of your sewing for Christmas! What is HTV?

We had a whopper of a thunder storm in the night, now it’s warmish outside. We’re supposed to be in the 20s with minor snow and ice come tomorrow night and into Monday. Brrr. I’ll be staying home if it’s icy.

Enjoy your day.

Last night was our first volunteer event of the year, the fish fry, we were way under staffed and kept so busy time just flew by. Our good friends stopped by to say good by they are headed back to Minnesota till after Christmas.

Safe travels Cheesehead! Hope you beat the storm. Hubby is already stating if the weather is bad we aren’t driving home etc etc. it’s his way of voicing his frustration about the long drive

Sewbiz great quilts love the batik one

Ltsew you have busy, good for you being ahead of the game!

Hubby and I are going to the dance tonight and that’s the only plans we have since we will be heading off to the island Monday for 3 days

Glad Ernie is more himself Janice

Sewbiz- your quilts are wonderful! Hey, just an FYI- my husband takes Align probiotic pills daily and hasn't had any of the problems of the past. He takes one per day w/o fail. Also yogurt, as you do and Kefir.

I just found out I will need my gallbladder removed. Since they can do it outpatient I'm actually looking forward to it. My oldest son had a horrible gb attack and emergency surgery which I want to avoid. So that's why I'm saying "looking forward to it." My only symptoms are elevated liver enzymes but that's a serious symptom. I'm having a surgeon I used to work with do it so I'm in good hands.
Gram- sorry about your insomnia. That's gotta be a bummer for sure.
Happy Saturday, everyone. Thanks for listening to my gallbladder woes.

Susie Q I hope you have been prewarned about the after effects of Gallbladder surgery so you can be prepared. Unfortunately I also had emergency gallbladder surgery and was so glad to spend the night and next day in the hospital. I was in horrendous pain and my blood pressure was so high they wanted to place me in the step down unit from ICU. The relief after the surgery was incredible and my blood pressure went right back to normal. Two of the gentlemen in our little group also had the surgery and we all have the same after effects. Uncontrollable bowel movements after eating. We all take a prescription powdered mix once a day to help control it. Our friends were good with the mixture unfortunately I have a very slim line between the runs and constipation. So I have to be extremely cautious on using the powder. Good luck to you

I had Gall Bladder Surgery, best thing for me. The pain before the surgery was intense. I only have issues after the surgery is when I eat red meat. I have to go to the bathroom right after. I have to make sure when we are out to eat at a restaurant not to order red meat.

Good sunny morning. The cold is supposed to hit tonight but no precipitation is expected now. Yay. Not ready for snow so early in the season.

SusieQ, when is your surgery scheduled? Amazing what is done now on an outpatient basis. I’ve had a couple of friends have the surgery and all say their life is improved if they are careful with their diets. Much luck, Susie.

I’ve been working on another donation quilt top. A square in a square design I’ve done before. This will be my last piecing until I quilt three. It’s a commitment I’ve made to myself. I’m making new tops and not quilting so I need to quilt some smaller donation quilt tops. It’s getting out of control here. No excuse not to do it now that I have all the backings I’ll ever need, lol. Probably.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

My last two. For Terriamn and TravellingGramma. I did not make any from the Japanese Taupe quilts book. These are my own designs. Terriamn yours came about because I had a big screw up on the first block I attempted. I ended with an Ohio star? With a modern center.
I had a lot of fun doing these boom blocks. I forgot how much I liked the creativity of doing boom blocks.
