Not ugly at all! Get it quilted and binding on and I think you will change your mind!

I think it's the flowery border that makes the quilt (using your term) ugly. Pink would have been more pleasing. Because you have lovely starlight blocks, why don't you just cross hatch this quilt. It's such a nice look. If your one of the lucky ducks on this board who has a longare machine, than disregard this last bit.

There is nothing ugly about it. Ya want my address? LOLO I LOVE pinks and roses. I'd be happy with just a FMQ design.

I really like it. It *may* (but not necessarily) lack a *WOW* factor, but it is very pretty. It has a very Victorian feel to it, very feminine!

Thanks EVERYONE for all the great ideas. I think I am going with SITD, and try a decorative stitch in the sash. As for the FMQ have try it, but not there yet, wish I was.
    Thanks Again.

I'm not a 4 fabric quilter, but this is a nice quilt. I think quilting will make it.

How about some embroidery in the light pink area. Some flowers and leaves. Use bright thread for both. Maybe a red and bright green. I like the quilt and it needs to be completed.

I agree with MaryMo above, the light pink isn't contrasting well with the white. Other than that you have made a technically perfect and lovely quilt. So quilting that would increase the contrast between these two fabrics would help it IMO. I like the idea of a darker variegated thread in the light pink sashing to bring it forward. Tighter stippling in the while would also help.

I don't think it's ugly...subdued maybe but not ugly. I've made quilts I don't care for but were warmly received by the recipient.
