    Sorry to hear about your brother's death. You have my condolence. Finishing the quilt for your sister & her grandchildren was a very good idea. It is beautiful.

    This is "Why quilts matter". I've just started on the this new adventure in quilting and coming to realize after reading a lot of posts that quilting has many, many aspects but it all boils down to part of you goes into every quilt and is an everlasting gift. This lucky young man has a special connection which will be charished throughout his life. Yes, he is lucky to have a special person like you in his life to provide this essential link.

    The quilt is lovely. I'm so sorry about the loss of your brother. I'm glad that you finished the quilt and that it has been passed on to comfort Darien.
