Good In-Store Places to Shop for Fabric
#101
There is a book out there called "Quilter's Companion" that lists by state and area of quilt shops all over. I do believe that the quilt shops have to pay to be in there so it is not an "inclusive listing". I travel in our motor home and find it a wonderful thing to have when we "land" somewhere.

I think it would be nice if we were able to give names, street addresses, phone numbers and email addresses for these quilt shops. If someone is actually willing to put this together, with our assistance, we should be as thorough as possible - it will definitely benefit us all.
I found out last Summer just how ineffective a google search is for quilt shops in a specific location.

Thanks Holice!
Here's one that's not listed as far as I can tell:
Margie Pearls House of Antiques
4743 S 131st Rd
Bolivar, MO 65613-2886
(417) 777-4913
Lots and lots of fabrics. We saw it on a road trip.
DH and I have both been disappointed when trying to google quilt shops for road trips. Half the time they are closed. Most good locations came from just asking around.
The recomendation for Marshalls in Batesville, AR is fantastic. Make sure you have plenty of time to shop. Passed by it on a road trip. Found out about it from this forum.

Good afternoon from Northern California. If you are ever in Antioch, CA you need to go to Queen B's on Second Street. I cute little shop with some awesome fabric. One of these days after I retire I would love to take my husband to Sturbridge, Mass. I went to Old Town Sturbridge Village as a child when I lived in Northstonington, Connecticut. I really like the place and we want to come out in the Fall to see the colors.

I did get a very vew names. Most of the responses were related to on line shopping.
I would like to start this again for the new year. I will compile a list by state etc.
NOW.......this list is not on line places but stores or warehouses that sell fabric to the public.
What places do you know of?
