Deb, I am so sorry for your loss. I am so glad that you were able to finish the quilt and get such a wonderful picture of your Hubby before he passed. He looks so very pleased with the quilt -- I would print that picture on fabric and attach it to the back of the quilt as a rememberance. By the way -- the quilt is wonderful!!

It made me cry to see his happy face and think he's not with you any longer... So sorry you lost him! Now every time you look at the quilt you can remember how happy you made him. (((((Huge hug!!)))))

You have my deepest sympathies in the loss of your husband. Don't know what I would do without mine. It was wonderful that you could finish this for him and he was able to see it completed and enjoy it.

I offer you my sympathy. Your DH sure looks happy and proud with the quilt.

In January I lost my husband to Alzheimers. During his last week under Hospice care he was covered with his "security quilt" I had made it for him in 1988 when he was undergoing chemo and radiation . It was a simple blue drunkers path.
Our oldest daugher now has that quilt.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's good that you made this sweet quilt that put a smile on his face. I'm sure the two of you had many happy times over the years and hope the memories are a comfort to you.

My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your Dear Husband. I know what you are going through, for my dear, sweet, wonderful husband passed away this March. I am so glad you were able to get his penguin quilt finished so he could enjoy it; and we can see by the look on his face how proud he was of it, and of you for making it. I think it is such a nice idea to have it hanging in your bedroom. The quilt is just so pretty. My prayers are with you. ((((((Hugs)))))

Oh Deb.... I'm so sorry for your loss. What a blessing this to have taken this last photo of your DH. Thanks for sharing it.
The Quilt is lovely, and your husband seems very pleased to show it off in the photo. It's such a sweet photo.
