So sorry to hear that. What I not get even if you do not care for them as a purse there are many uses for them like as a toilettries bag or to just use to store things in like you have a basket standing out. I am so sorry that you got that response after all your hard work.

It just shows that they are not educated in what it takes to do something with your own hands. Do not feel bad, it is they that are loosing out. Hugs--just get them a gift certificate and gift people you know appreciate the skill it takes to create.

I will try to attach a picture of the first one I made. Guess the attachment button left - at least, I can't see it.

I have a family similar I know it hurt your feelings and I'm sorry. I made quilts last year for a neiece and nephew and had to ask them if they like it. Needless to say she got $30 this year and since he graduated from high school he didn't get anything. We only buy for the children

I hate that for you but I know exactly how you feel. I have two step daughters that do not like anything hand made. If they only knew what goes into handmade things.....

I wish I could have been good enough to make the purses. Still learning here! But my girls would have LOVED them! Especially Jessie! She's a bag nut! They love anything I make for them as well as the grandkids!

Well anyhow, WE here Appreciate you, and thats without gifts! ;-)

I'm so sorry that happened, but I know how you feel. I always feel so bad because I don't think anyone likes my gifts. How do you know? What are you to do? I love quilting and I'm just about ready to give all my quilts to charity. Maybe they will appreciate them. Hugs to you.

I fully understand. I not only handmake quilts and bags to give but also canned salsa and beef jerky and candy. I have been doing this for about 4 years now. So, last year when my husbands three ungrateful daughters snubbed their gifts last year, I decided they were getting a $10.00 gift card to a local clothes store where the clothes are priced outrageous. And they griped about that, and wanted to know where their beef jerky was. LOL! Victory is so sweet!

I guess we all take chances. I had a free bazzare ( or how ever you spell it) Had many different items on it, even some for men. They loved it. We all had a blast.
