2016 UFO Challenge of the Month

MadQuilter, that counts as a finish in my book. Toot, Toot!
I had promised a friend that I would get started on her DGS's round robin. Time got away from me and the panels sat here for quite a while. The last two weeks I added 3 individual rounds on the panels and it is being shipped off to the next in line. Not a finished quilt but a finish for me nonetheless.

FINALLY, the tally for the April 1 to April 8 mini-challenge: 20 UFOs were finished during our one-week period! Thanks and Toot Toots go out to Glojean48, giquilt, OhCanada, JuanitaBean, RetiredTeacher09, elly66, fraew, AnokaQuilter, Jaba and CarrieM. Also, since then, we've had four other finishes, 2 by krisb and another by wildyard and one by Madquilter..
All told, that's a total of 24 finishes in April! Great job, everyone! AND we're at 192 for a total year to date. I wonder who will have finish number 200?
Rolling, rolling, rolling...

I am not going to be #200 in our count of UFO's but at least I can say I finished (on Apr.7) this. Kind of a neat feeling to say that aside from buying the fabric, thread and using a machine someone else made..I did this quilt all by myself. The cutting, sewing, piecing, sandwiching (with a little help from hubby with spray basting) and machine quilting (with encouragement from a friend). It is the size of top of a double bed so was quite a chore to FMQ in my little Babylock DSM but it is done now. Hurray!! I put flannel on the back to make it more cuddily. Plus, I had to get a new computer so still dealing with getting things converted over. Will try to attach a picture if I can make it small enough. If you see it, you will know I succeeded...if not take my word that "Montpelier Stars' is finished!
Kristakz (post 1255) I love how you made 2 separate quilts with the stars and houses ..way better than together. Good you went with your instincts. Love everyone else's finishes this month, too. You are an amazing group of ufo finishers. And Janice you are the best engineer with all your record keeping and acknowledgements to everyone. Thanks for being you! p.s. Picture too large. Will try to figure out how to reduce the size and post later.

SandyinZ4, this is beautiful. I'll add you in to the mini-challenge success stories and up our count to 21 UFO finishes for the challenge week. Congratulations on your colorful, starry quilt! Love it! And let's not forget an important part: Toot Toot!!!
Trying one more time with Montpelier Stars.
