It is a great thing you are doing. Are you familiar with Soldiers Angels.org? They really need more quilters, like us to make quilts for the wounded soldiers. They have a lovely website that explains all they do. We have adopted soldiers there and sent packages and quilts for the deployed troops. Our guild, Cumberland Valley Quilters is making quilts for the wounded and just sent a bunch to Germany, to the hospital. Soldiers Angels sends theirs to the medevac faility in Iraq and every wounded soldier gets a quilt for the trip to Germany, as some only have a sheet to cover them. They keep the quilts in hospital and for the return trip home. You should see the letters they get from the soldiers. Keep up the good work. They deserve it.

Sorry for the duplicate post. Some clicking problem. I forgot to say, they keep the quilt forever. One soldier that had a head injury wouldn't let go of his quilt. They let him keep it throughout his treatment. It helped him feel secure and warm. Some say it helps them heal faster to feel supported and loved. So little to give for someone in such need. Check out Soldiers Angels.org for sizes. Oh yes, they also need crocheted and knitted lap quilts for the vetrans rehabilitating in hospital too. So much need. Thanks so much. You are awesome.

What a precious baby. Congratulations to the happy parents. I hope Daddy will be home soon to see this precious bundle. And the quilt is adorable, too.
