    I think putting them together inside something like a pillowcase for pets.

    How about your local Girl Scout Council or 4H clubs...many girls are learning sewing or creating projects that could use such items. I hate to waste anything myself, but like knowing I have contributed to something worthwhile rather than just pitch.

    Don't know if anyone has mentioned this - do a search online for miniature paper piecing blocks. I've been playing with 3" blocks, and you can use some very tiny pieces in them.
