How do you know what you have in that room? You need some shelving, clear tubs and help organizing your stash.

Great you got some organising done. Maybe your DH would like to help you organise your rooms a bit, if he likes fabric?

I don't take mine fabric shopping, for the simple reason that he would not enjoy it.

Mine will often pick out things for me. He has a really good eye for color and design. Never has he said to not buy, he just encourages me to buy and spend more time sewing and quilting. He says that he can tell the difference in me when I have time and supplies to sew. He says that sewing to me is like a nice motorcycle ride on his BMW to him. Bless him. Guess I'll keep him.

Congratulations on getting though those 16 boxes today. I am sure that God will assist you, when the time comes, to clean up the rest of it.

It is hard when we change our lives habits to find a new balance. Hopefully the next pictures you post will be of the beautiful quilts you have completed in your organized sewing room

    Take care!

I often take my DH to the LQS for a couple of reasons. First, he has a better eye for color than I do, so if I am looking for a specific fabric his choices are always the best. Second, he always reminds me how much fabric I already have, so I never spent nearly the amount I would if he weren't reminding me that I don't need more fabric. Third, he's my DH and I love his company MOST of the time. LOL.

Other than my hubby not liking to spend lots of time at Joanns or other fabric stores, if I take him with me I'm more likely to get lots more fabric cuz he encourages me to get what I want (even if I don't need it)

When I go by myself, I reign myself in more, tending to be more frugal and fearful of spending too much $

OH MY GOODNESS!! I try NOT to take my DH with me, 50 % of the time he rushes me or the other 50% of the time he "tries" to help me pick out fabric. I always try to have ideas of what I am going to do with fabric. I have had alot of fabric (in the past) for "someday" projects. When we go to Wal-mart, I always send him off in a different direction so that I can go to the fabric department by myself.

You might mention to your store that it would be nice to bring the chairs back so that hubby can bring you to the store and wait while you shop. Other men might appreciate the courtesy also.

put emphasis on 'bring to me store and wait while I shop'
