At times I dislike this, other times I dislike that, but what I HATE MOST ALL THE TIME is popping the knot into the sandwich when beginning or ending a length of thread. Skimming thru all these 13 pages I didn't see anyone else mention that but it's definitely what I HATE, so obviously it's me. I just can't do it.

Sandwiching and the actual quilting process. I do it on the DSM. Everything else I love!

I love doing the piecing but hate the sandwiching. I have a hard time cutting as I can't stand very long without the back giving out on me.

I have a little directional problem, so figuring out which way things should be sewn together stresses me out. There is usually a seam ripper involved for the first few seams.

After I watched a few youtube tutorials about binding this weekend, I have to take back my loathing of binding. I actually enjoyed sitting on the couch under a nice cozy quilt hand sewing the binding on. Last night the hubby and I snuggled and watched a movie while I worked on binding a current UFO. I also started using wonder clips on the binding, and aside from being entertaining cat toys, they are much easier to work with than straight or safety pins. Plan to finish it tonight and add it to the UFO post.

There is no part of quilting that I don't enjoy. From choosing fabric and a pattern to quilting and binding. I get to see, touch, and smell all of the good things about quilting. And I love taking the time to enjoy what I am doing.

Quilting the 3 layers. I love everything about piecing.

Basting hands down. Small house, too much fabric and NO where to put it on the floor to baste.
