Never argue with an idiot, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience :-)

    That reminds me of one...

Never have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

That is one I use a lot. One I liked a lot when I was younger was "Today is the first day of the rest of my life". I don't use it much anymore but, I actually made myself a poster to look at every day to remind me that I can't change the past and to keep moving forward.

My dad always said, "the only thing you have to do is pay taxes and die."

Hmmm....my Dad always laid gems on me like" IF frogs had wings, they wouldn't bump their butts" to make me quit saying that I could do things "if....."

My dad always told me, "You can have everything you want. Just watch what you want."

I have several. Most I shouldn't type. The few that are printable are...

    1. From my grandmother about small mistakes. "A blind man on a galloping horse would be happy to see that!"

    2. About taste... "Whatever blows yer dress up!"

    3. About men... "Can't live with 'em, can't feed 'em to the man eating baracudas."

    4. About fabric... "BATIKS!"

From my father I got, "If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle."
(He was a somewhat colorful old cuss.)
