Yeah, but aren't they fun to look at?

Sounds like this is an epidemic too! Patterns, books, magazines...fabrics, notions, this and that! If you know the cure (other then a totally empty bank account!) please let me know!

I looked at your photo's on photobucket. Oh my goodness, your mother is so beautiful in those pictures of her when she was young. I just love old photos and you have some on there that are really great. Thanks for sharing the site.

Stitchnripper, that is exactly what happens when I see a pattern that has all those hundreds of pieces. My head starts spinning and I feel overwhelmed by the very thought of it. LOL I think I am going to be one of those make your own design type quilters and I can assure you it will be a few hundred less pieces.

I know what you mean. I have boxes and boxes of patterns. I always start out saying this pattern would be great for this fabric.
But then when I finally get to making it I end up using a different fabric.
So I keep going around and around trying to make up my mind on what to use.
I just have to get my act together and use the fabric and the patterns I already have. Oh did I say i go through the different patterns on the internet and guess what I print them out. so i have about 20 3" binders full of patterns.
Oh well it is fun and like all of us I love it.
Back to work on sewing room. bye for now kjym Kathy
Good luck to all of us at least it beats bar hopping right?

Me too. And I bet if we all put our unused patterns up for sale we'd ALL end up buying as many as we sold. We might just as well swap them. Then we'd all simply put away the "new" ones we got and never use them either. But at least they'd have found a new home. :-)

Not only do I collect material and drool over the ones I don't like to cut into you know they are the ones we are saving for a special project but I confess to saving receipe books and the receipes I use are usually cut out from mags etc.

We are birds of a feather. Lots of fabric and lots of patterns and no time to use either.
