I'm married to a prince!

Love the positive answers on this thread.
My DH is a gem. I have not made a fabric purchase for over 9 months except for teh fabric to recover my ironing board. I could not make up my mind which one and guess who chose teh fabric I love and used on teh ironing board? Yep, he did.
Then, two weeks ago my sis was in and we found two new LQS'. SHe bought, I did not as we are short on money. However, day after she left to go home, we had a little extra and I went back and bought $13.00 worth fabric. Showed him and told him I wanted to copy a design of a table runner JanRN made for me. He was thrilled, loved the colors, and said he can't wait to see it on the dresser.
During our State Fair this next week, he will see to it that I spend as much time as I want looking at the quilts and such on display.
The week after the fair, he will drive me 1 1/2 hours away to a quilt show and craft fair he found four years ago and he takes me to every year. He sits in the bleachers and reads a book or two:) as I walk and look and admire.
He is the best and the king of our household. Trust, respect, and love (along with the good Lord and lots of prayer), have helped keep us married for 37 years.
I too, do not understand these women (and men) who 'hide' stuff from their spouses. I can only imagine what else is hidden in their marriage. Oops, did I really say that?
Love my man - HE is the best!

I don't have to hide fabric. When traveling he stops to visit new shops everywhere we go!! He restores old pickups so he knows exactly how I feel. We both take reading material along so when one of us wants to shop for fabric or "vintage tin" the other one has something to do!!!

I don't hide from my husband, he is very supportive of what I am doing. However, when he was bemoaning the fact that it was too hot out and he was bored, he declined my offer to teach him to quilt. Still, he is a prince.
