Wow beautiful fabric choice, Lib. I am playing around - learning how to upload photo here. Sending photo via e-mail to Janice. Ready to mail F8s. Can't wait to get started on blocks!

My fabric choice for my slow group. The background is actually more soft light yellow. I love all the colors. I thought of enclosing a little strip of the selvedge with the color palate as reference. Will this create a mailing problem? I love the dark burgundy accent, greens and peach. I will keep this quilt as a memory of my first "Boom" and write about the experience on my quilt label for my children and grandchildren.

    Still trying to upload photo

That's very pretty! I love the look of all the b/w quilts I've seen.
I am excited to start seeing everyone's fabric. Great choices posted so far!

I've been drawn to the idea of designing a black and white quilt and collecting fabrics, this will be a fun one to watch come together. Fun to begin seeing all the fabrics and ideas.

My theme is The Phantom Of The Opera (my all-time favorite movie), and I'm sending several different fabrics. The colors are jeweltone purple, red, green, and gold. Some of you will get blenders of these colors, and others will receive focal fabric with masquerade masks or sheet music. Everyone will get a square of The Phantom Of The Opera fabric (the last one in my photo) that you can incorporate into your block if you want. I plan to use black for the sashing. All blocks are welcome (traditionally-pieced, paper-pieced, applique', embroidery, etc.). I'll be using this same fabric for the other Boom swap here, as well.
