This is indeed a treasure and what fun! If you wanted to calm it down a little, you could put a dark brown or black sashing in between the blocks, but you don't have to- that is what crazy quilts are- crazy!

Beautiful. But from some of the crazy quilts I have seen your has very little embellishments, so I hardly think there is too much on yours. It is so nice to be able to do something with your mom. I wish my mother was still living so I could do a quilt with her. Enjoy all the time you can spend with your mother. my dear, it is really precious and you will cherish that time forever. Love your quilt, you two seem to work very well together.
