Knots equals 1.8 MPH. We have 1 degree. Winds are decreasing, but wind chill is bad.

Temp here is in single digits with wind chill making it colder! Tonight will be very wicked!

Cuppy, we watched Downton Abbey last night. Love that show. What do you plan to make with your Downton Abbey fabrics? I thought about buying them, but the print with the actual building on it was always sold out!

One of the ideas I have been thinking about is that it looks
like a book (see link below), but would that be classified as
    a pincushion or needle book?

    Pincushion or needle book??

It would be both! Last month I made a little house pincushion that had one side of the roof that opened (like the book cover) that was the needle case.

I think the little book PC/NC is adorable!

I would consider it both also.

I saw one I loved that was both. it was pyramidal shaped, and was a pin cushion, but had a book on one side for needles. it was very interesting. I loved it.
my partner should have rec'd hers by today. lets hope she got it.

Thanks, Lynnie. Most I have gotten have polyfil and one sand. Wool roving is hard to find. I didn't know about the walnut shells and will try them at a nearby pet store.

some quilting stores sell emery also. that's expensive I've heard.
otherwise. most of us use poly or cotton batting. have fun.
All the ones I get are polyfill and I just use mine for display.

Quilty-Louise, the book is adorable! I want one! (hint, hint, nudge, nudge) It would serve as both pc & nb ... I received the house pc/nb last month & I love it! (Now to get the book one ...)

    quiltjoey, your package is adorable!

I mailed my package to my partner on my way home from work today. She should get it on Friday. Yay!
