Neesie, have you got a bit of Acadian in your roots?

Or maybe I'll just check back in a few weeks to see if it's opening day yet.

We were just having a bit of banter fun - Sorry that it was annoying to others.

Unfortunately, no. My parents were from WV and GA.

Though we might have been long lost cousins twice or three times removed. (I've never really understood the meaning of the word removed in this context)

Just speaking for myself, I joined the Secret Santa exchange, in order to get to know my fellow quilters. I love reading about what makes my Secret Santa person, the person she is. I love reading the happy comments between my quilting friends, even if I've no idea what the heck they're talking about.

We could still be long lost cousins! I used to know a handful of Cajuns, if that helps any. I just don't think there's any French, in my own ancestry.

So sorry I didn't mean to offend anybody by talking about pittsburgh. I promise to remain on the secret Santa topic from now on.

I too have been enjoying the banter, My DH was in the Navy so we lived on two coasts and one foreign country and I fondly remember all the strange names for the same dish. Any one want a Cabinet with a Grinder? Where I live now its Pop also.

Oh, I DO know what a Grinder is!!! I buy those at WalMart, for turkey sandwiches. What's a Cabinet, though?
