I like that one. How do you feel about Storm at Sea? That's something I really want to make.

Didn't mean to be negative, but they really do. It is something visceral. I truly can't look at them and find them disturbing. Like I said I don't know why. But after having this reaction again and again over the last few months, I decided to ask if anyone else felt that way.
There are patterns that I don't care for - although those are far and few between - but nothing that elicits the strong sensation that a bargello does. It's very peculiar.
I probably shouldn't answer this with MY avatar, but 30's and 40's stuff has the same effect on me. I'm not sure why. And that one piece pattern that some call "apple core" I think looks like mini-pads!

    quiltmom04,
Your Bargello is beautiful. I hadn't thought about the apple cores looking like mini-pads, but they really do....

They are quilts made with blocks made from small scraps.

I`m not a fan of Bargellos. because so many of them are loud colors. What I do like is most patterns that are made of soft colors, A quilt should let you sleep.

Oh! You're kidding right? We all like different stuff and personally even if I don't like the quilt style I do enjoy looking and maybe learning someting from them. I'll tell you what, you can PM me with pic's any time!

Personally, I am not keen on baby theme quilts, I prefer baby quilts to be neutral of themes. Just pattern and color suits me in these quilts. Kids can grow with them for a longer time.

Hmmmm. I know this might be a crazy idea, but has anyone made one of all one color or something close to it? I think I might like that.
