I made a quilt with blocks similar to the ones you posted. Mine came out like your did, not all the same size. I bought a 12 inch square ruler and squared all the blocks to the smallest block. The quilt turned out nice and no one knew (okay, now everyone does!! LOL!!) but me. I backed it with fleece and it is a favorite of DGD's.

sounds like you're getting great feedback and support for members, and I agree, perfection is not the goal, it's all about process and making something work better than you thought, despite challanges that will always pop up along the way, other wise what would be the fun? You work looks beautiful, hope you post a picture of the finished project! :)

I do not think any block I've made was ever just the right square. always have to square up each block and sometimes before block is completed. Good luck on yours as it looks like a beautiful quilt coming together. :)

Love the fabric! I'm doing my pinwheel blocks with Sunkissed layer cakes. Definitely square your blocks before sewing them into rows. Trust me, it will create fewer problems in the long run. Find the smallest square and make them all that size. I usually have to fix mine as well.

What is the name of the block or pattern you are using? I'd like to give it a try. Your block is gorgeous even if it may not be perfect. I can't tell. I'd love to see this when you get it put together.

I'd square them up to match the smallest block!

Are you sure they are different sizes? have you pressed each one to see. sometimes I will think mine are off but once I press them they are all the same. If they are off then i would take the smallest and cut them all down unless there is only one small one then i would remake that one to fit the others.
