I know that I've paid a lot for upholstery fabric, but that (gulp) is way more than I'm comfortable with.

Yipes...I would have to just wrap it around me at that price. I don't go over $12.00 a yard.

I wasn't comparing anything. And I'm not crying, silently or out loud.

All things considered, being Ralph Lauren, being 58 inch wide upholstery fabric, and using embroidery, instead of printing the words on the fabric, I can understand 204.00 a yard. I can't afford to buy it, but I can understand the cost.

If I had paid $6 million for my home then I would not hesitate to put this fabric on an easy chair by the fireplace.

$12 a yard upholstery fabric is pretty low end.

If money was not an issue and I wanted it price would not matter. I'd just buy it.

home-dec fabrics are often very expensive compared to quilting/apparel fabrics- it is not uncommon to find fabrics in this price range & if you ever decide to re-upholstery your sofa you may choose a fabric that is even more- now you know one of the reasons it costs so much to have your sofa or favorite chair redone.
