I had mine done by the CPA a couple weeks ago. I used to do them myself but I just can't stand the headaches that I get doing them. For me it's either pay the CPA or suffer!

I used to just laugh at people that complained about doing one tax return. During peak, which is the first two weeks of February, I would do at least 8 returns in one day and as many as 13 returns. Even the most complicated personal tax returns rarely took me more than an hour to do. Even if they had a business they didn't take more than an hour and a half generally. The lady that sat next to me did farm and corporate returns and those could take several days to do.

I woud rather be doing almost anything rather than income tax. I was watching Rock Cental last night on the huge IRS income tax identity theft problem. Very scary and the thieves are so brazen about it they cleaned out the refunds for a police department.

I hate what I SHOULD be doing today...cleaning house for Easter dinner tomorrow! I guess that's why I'm on here. Son and Daughter are bringing lasagna and grilled pork for main dishes. I have the vegetables, salads, and desserts ready. House isn't bad, maybe I'll wait and clean when the little ones go home!?!
Yeah, that sounds like a good idea!

Even though I usually get money back...I always procrastinate. I am working on mine today.

Yup...every year! Drives me nuts too, then he wants me to hurry and sign them so they get in the mail on time!! I gave up the nagging long ago.

Husband does ours and he is one of those, get up early and get it done. No waiting around for him. If I had to do it I'd run off. That's why I have himLOL, But I love him to pieces.

Done and I would be willing to pay 1-2% more in tax and have a FLAT tax rather than do it this way. Hate saving all the receipts, this is deductible, that is not!
