Borax will kill them also. Be careful where you put anything if you have pets.

I've used Comet cleanser where they come in. They wouldn't cross it. It is messy.

Sprinkle some grits where they are. They will bring it back to the nest and when they eat it, it expands in their belly and the die. I have tried it on red ant piles and it works!!

The only way I got rid of them was to call an exterminator.

BIG ant infestations here on the farm every year. This year early on I tried CINNAMON! Sprinkled in all the windows, under the sinks, along floor boards in less than conspicuous places, behind the toilet, at the door jams.....so far it's working amazingly well, smells nice, and isn't a chemical. Bought the cheapest jar of ground cinnamon I could find; the ants don't have snooty tastes.

    Help???
Ant food from the local hardware store, put it in bottle caps, they take it home and kills the lot, works inside and out me are ant free on the front and back porch.

Getting rid of them is one thing, keeping them away is another. Watch for dead trees near the house and don't use wood mulch. We fought them for years and they didn't stop until we changed mulch from wood to sweet peat.

    Hope this helps.

The best stuff ever- I got rid of mine and my son's- my SIL then my Dad;s house then my sisters then my brother's house. That bottle is still better than 1/2 full and I even put it in my shed / play house for the GDs. You definetly get more then your moneys worth out of it.

We've used borax powder and it worked for us. Probably works like the talcum powder.

I used a borax laundry soap on roaches and got rid of them. It took a while but we have dogs so I didn't want to use any chemicals. I put it in all the cupboards and on top of the cupboard. Neighbors hauled loads of household trash out of their back yard and our house was immediately infested. It was awful. I don't know if it works on ants but if I get any ants I'm certainly going to try it. Now to find something for scorpions. Yuck!
