Hummm...mine is totally different. We put new carpet in my quilt studio (formerly the formal living room). I found a beautiful textured carpet I loved...in a dark choc brown...never again! It shows every bit of lint, string and cat hair. Foolish, foolish, foolish!

Well, something I keep TRYING not to do anymore, is to alter/mend clothing. But then DD comes home with a pair of pants that needs taking in or DSIL (love when he does this 'cause his mom can sew too) will ask if I can fix a pocket or hem his new pants, or DH will come in with his old work jeans that are more patches than jeans and ask for just one more fix....I guess I'm a push-over but it does give me a warm feeling even while I quietly fume about the time it takes away from 'real' sewing.

If I ever lose a needle or pin, I just ask DH to walk thru the room. He'll find it every time--in his foot!!

I will never again cut minky fabric in my sewing room--or in any room in my house!

    "What's aborning doing?"

"Oh, she's outside cutting her minky."

I will never again get spray starch on my sewing room floor. I slipped on spray starch once, pulled lots of muscles and broke a finger. Now, I am very, very careful with spray starch.

Sew the same seam wrong like 4 times. Yes I did that. Leave pin cushion out for kitty cats (Stepping on pins-not fun).

I will not make room for a bed for someone to sleep in my sewing room.

I won't let non-quilters into my sewing room... they just don't understand all the fabric!

I decided to move the ironing board to the adjacent living room. I also put my cutting station in the living room. No drinks allowed in the studio! It is good to get up and walk around. I only drink water when I am at my sewing/quilting and it stays in the living room also.

Can you tell I live alone? When non-sewing/quilting friends come over I put away the ironing board and roll the cutting station into my studio. I have a 2 bedroom townhome and the little bedroom is my studio. Works for me.
