This link is the quilt that someone made and it says on her blog that there isn't a pattern. How can I figure out how to make it if I only know that she used 13" HST's and it was 14" squares? Thanks in advance for any guidance you may have! Here is the link:

First, you need to decide what size you want---------"KING" can be 96" to 120". Next, decide how deep you want your borders, if you want any.

Deduct the border sizes from the quilt size. Divide what's left by 6. That will be the finished size of each block.

If all else fails, take some scrap squares, sew and cut for HST and see where you stand.

    REMEMBER to allow for seams.

the quilt she referenced is 6 blocks by 6 blocks, not 8 by 8

Go back and look at the quilt you referenced. It is 6 blocks across by 6 rows------------not 8 x 8

It's 6 blocks across and 8 blocks down. Rectangle, not square.

Right you are, Cari. I apologize. It looked square and I just counted across the top.

Each pair yields 2 HST, so 32 pairs yields 64 HST.
This is what I meant. Sorry if I wasn't clear. Thank you PP for clarifying my comment.
