    What a wonderful gift for your DD especially with something from her da included. I love it when the recipient is so appreciative. I made a simple quilt for a dear friend's B-day in her favorite color turq. and white chevron a couple of years ago. We live a good distance apart and talk regularly via phone, and she often comments that she is currently or was cuddled under her "Gerbie quilt" as she calls it. Lets me know he must really like the quilt.

    It sounds as if the quilt is a special hug from her mom, with memories of her dad to make it extra special. Great job.
