I just donated a mint condition Monopoly game to Goodwill. I heard this A.M. about them dropping the Thimble.

Probably most people these days, don't know what a thimble is for, or how it is used. Same with the iron! lol

Oh, good point. I don't know how often I've heard "You sew?????" like it was some medieval skill.

My neighbor and a few friends play monopoly with notions. Different thimbles the little iron, a mini tape measure, Pin with flower head, Little curved safety pin. One gal made a little yo yo. LOL they also play "yo yo' checkers with yo yo made from red and black fabric.

I wonder if this will cause everyone to rush out and buy Monopoly?
I remember when they did this with Twinkies. Everyone wiped the shelves clean with their grabbing all the Twinkies they could possibly hoard.
Then they brought back the Twinkies.
Not sure what all those people are gonna do with all the Twinkies they hoarded.
    LOL

I doubt my step kids (ages 36 - 42) and their spouses would know what a thimble is and I'm certain the grands do not. I guess I'm not surprised the company is dropping the thimble.
