It is amazing how fast Amazon ships, but then they do have facilities everywhere and lots of staff. For the smaller one location vendors, it's impossible. Even if they are able to get the order packed and shipped the same day, it will take several days to get it from one location to another. Just the way it is. Many small vendors are also running and brick and mortar shop at the same time they are selling online. That means they are doing a lot and can't always get things packed and shipping in one day. I prefer dealing with the little guys if I can. I"m pro small business and always have been. I am at my LQS which isn't all that local. It's about 20 miles from my house, twice a month for a quilting bee. I normally pick up what I need when I'm there and help them stay in business.

Thank goodness for that fast shipping. I ordered storm supplies and received them yesterday. It really saved me from dealing with the crazy traffic and empty store shelves. Amazon will be in the next county soon so it will be even faster for me.

I can even stock up on sewing notions fast. A pack of 50 needles and some bobbin buddy holders in a recent order.

I've used Jordan Fabrics on the west coast and MSQC in the south. Both tell me when the fabrics ship and I can track the progress. If there is a problem with my purchase, I've been told about the problem within 24 hours.

My husband says I keep the post office in business with what I order for my quilting. He may be right!

I purchase almost all my fabrics via amazon anymore or any store that will give me reasonable shipping and can deliver in one day. I am spoiled in that way.
How do you get Prime for 1/2 price?

I'd like to know that too.
I just got the bill for $127 for a year. It used to be $99 but it's still worth it for us.

I placed an order with QuiltedTwins in FL. The delivery was pretty quick but I made the mistake of ordering the wrong size rotary blades. So I have shipped them back into the hurricane zone and will see how long the exchange takes. So far I have found them to be very responsive. Seems like a nice business. Hope FL is spared the worst of this storm.

I'd like the "half price Prime" as well! I contacted my supplier about why it was taking so long to ship, and they claim 5-7 business days, esp. if it includes cut yardage, which mine did not. I am now on day 8 since I ordered. Maybe today?

I've been having fast shipping from MSQC lately. I think they have improved their shipping process. Connecting Threads is slow! Yes, we have gotten spoiled!
