    Because there are plenty of buyers for that shabby chic nonsense, and there is plenty of cheap furniture to paint.

    I like the green color, but that pink kills it.

    I really wish I had the room to collect treadle machines. I absolutely love the ornate cast iron stands and woodwork on them. Unfortunately the LR will only hold 3 cabinet machines of any type and I want my machines out where they can be admired and used though I'm pretty far from that goal at the moment.
    I currently have Ella-my treadle Singer 27, my Rodney machine, and Olivia's 101 in the LR. Eventually I'll get my bases and universal cabinet built and put it where the Rodney machine is, that way all my machines will get a chance at being used. I'm pretty sure Olivia's machine is off-limits.
